Belief, Faith and Religion
The recent boom in God bashing books, led by Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion and Christopher hitchens' God Isn't Great, as well as causing a lot of controversy and triggering an outbreak of militant atheism, also seem to have given religion and faith something of a boost. In the Greenteeth pages on religion, faith and spirituality we try to look at all aspects of belief and non belief.
Anyone is welcome to sumbit articles but remember this is not a page for preaching. We are not going to give you a platorm to tell our readers they have to believe in your God and accept your religion or burn in hell (they're not going to believe you anyway) Make your argument by all means but respect the right of others to their opinions and belief too.
Belief, Faith and Religion
Science cannot provide all the answers, there is room for faith
Why, in these days when the militant atheist supporters of Richard Dawkins and his fellow travellers are so ready to decry and belittle religiopus faith and claim science has proved God does not exist, do so many eminent scientists still believe in God, including a number who have made carers in science but are very active in their respectoive churces?

Has The Fanaticism Of Militant Athreists Stigmatized Atheism Again
Not long ago, even though the nation had largely abandoned churchgoing, to describe oneself as an atheist carried a certain stigma. In the nineteen eighties and nineties that receded however as regular worshippers in Britain comprised just 6% of the population. Now however, thanks to militant atheism, the stigma is on the way back.

Eat The King - An Article On Seasonal Sacrifice Myths
Sometime in the spring every year somebody will ask me did the pre - Christian pagan societies really sacrifice their King and eat his flesh. So perhaps I am well placed to explain the symbolism behind these seemingly cruel and brutal rituals tat survive to the present day.

What must the EU do to survive? Scrap the Common Agricultural Policy and ditch the euro
Europe hit by a populist earthquake,â read the headlines after the European elections that last month saw record numbers vote for anti-establishment parties of various shades. Tony Blair warned on Monday that Ukipâs victory should be seen as a âwake-up callâ for the need to reform Europe. But where to start?
As any engineer will tell you, too much tension and a bridge collapses when hit by an earthquake or hefty wind. The trick is to build in so-called movable bearings, providing the flexibility needed for the structure to withstand severe stress. Flexibility, too, is the answer to Europeâs current predicament. Beam Me Up Brian* - Scientists Say Star Trek Style Teleporation Is Possible
It has become more and more obvious that the current generation of scientis ts are a bunch of OCD geeks who can't differentiate between science fact and science fiction. While scientists are increasingly seen to be certifiably insane psychotics who have completely detached themselves from reality, politicians are dupes who can be persuaded that colonising solar systems of stars so distant it would take our fastest spacecraft thousands of years to reach them is somehow a vote winner. Facebook can work out what youâre watching by listening through your smartphone

Now, Facebook wants to make this public diary even more detailed with a feature that uses your phoneâs microphone to listen to your surroundings and add data about the music or TV you might have on using audio clues.
âThat means if you want to share that youâre listening to your favorite BeyoncĂ© track or watching the season premiere of Game of Thrones, you can do it quickly and easily, without typing,â said Facebook in a blog post announcing the changes.

US set to unveil rules to cut carbon pollution from power plants by 30%
The Obama administration will propose sweeping new environmental rules on Monday, cutting carbon pollution from existing power plants by 30% over 2005 levels by 2030, according to people briefed on the plan. The new power plant rules â which will be formally announced by the Environmental Protection Agency on Monday morning â represent the most ambitious effort by Barack Obama or any other president to deal with climate change.
The regulations could lead to a sweeping transformation of Americaâs energy economy, if they survive an onslaught from business and conservative groups, and Republicans in Congress. Climate

Mind Control Scientists Find New Memory Manipulation Technology
Update to the ongoing quest by neuroscientists to manipulate human thought ... and what we can do to combat it.
iThe race to decode the brain continues, and quickens by the day. A wild array of new possibilities are opening in the field of mind control. The mind control of the future forgoes all pretense at indirectly altering perception through media and politics, or even mind-altering drugs and environmental toxins. The mind control of the future goes straight into direct programming and rewiring of the human brain.
These new mind control techniques are being introduced in gadgets that create a brain-computer interface, magnetic manipulation via "neural dust," and even the direct uploading of the contents of our brain. One must then consider the subsequent hacking of our minds in the digital realm. Science and consciousness
Transhumanist Singularity â The Ultimate Escapist Agenda
Bear with me, for this may not be an easy read - but we need to crack the code of this much discussed vainglorious chimera.
Which is not to say it doesn't exist â it does. Yet it exists as a byproduct of minds that operate in a sub human vacuum; that have severed their connection with with the normal diversity of emotions - and more particularly â with spirit and soul. Once this type of divorce is sanctioned there can only be deleterious consequences.
The current Transhumanist ethos is deeply atheistic and, as such, has no need to replace God, since it doesn't believe there is such an entity in the first place. But, ironically, it seemingly does have the need to create an all-powerful god of its own design Transhumanism

Racism Between Ethnic Minorities Is The Real Problem
The new face of racial tension? As ex-Home Secretary David Blunkett warns of clashes between Roma and locals in Sheffield, the bitter irony is that the previous generation of immigrants are angriest.
A photo of a smiling David Blunkett, guide dog by his side, hangs on the office wall of the community centre at Page Hall, a grid of terraced streets five miles from the centre of Sheffield.
It shows the former Labour Home Secretary, who is one of the cityâs MPs, meeting local people during a visit last summer.
In recent years, the area was home to a social and ethnic mix of indigenous Britons, Pakistanis, Yemenis and Somalis who lived happily together.

The Real Agenda of the Gates Foundation
In 2009 the self-designated âGood Clubâ â a gathering of the worldâs wealthiest people whose collective net worth then totaled some $125 billion â met behind closed doors in New York City to discuss a coordinated response to threats posed by the global financial crisis. Led by Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and David Rockefeller, the group resolved to find new ways of addressing sources of discontent in the developing world, in particular âoverpopulationâ and infectious diseases.2 The billionaires in attendance committed to massive spending in areas of interest to themselves, heedless of the priorities of national governments and existing aid organizations.
The Real Agenda of the Gates Foundation, part 2: Foundations and Imperialism
When those who have aggressively established and maintained monopolies in order to accumulate vast capital turn to charitable activities, we need not assume their motives are humanitarian.21 Indeed, on occasion these âphilanthropistsâ define their aims more bluntly as making the world safe for their kind. Are we all racist now?
As a survey of British social attitudes reveals a shocking upturn in prejudice, Allison Pearson argues that the political eliteâs desire to advance multiculturalism with mass immigration has backfired. Young people on the internet are really, really cross that people voted UKIP
Ukip's unprecedented success at the local and European elections is baffling younger people and telling them one of the most powerful things a democracy can say: that a huge number of their fellow countrymen don't actually agree with them. The reaction is a mixture of horror and sanctimonious revulsion; one individual says she is "genuinely a little disgusted to live in a country where 27% of voters voted for UKIP". The Future Is the Farmer
At a farmerâs fair in Krakow, South Poland, in early May, I spoke to a Romanian peasant. He was demonstrating clay pot making using a foot treadle to spin the plate upon which the pots were being formed by his deft hands.
I remarked how attractive I found this technology due to its lack of reliance upon any electrical power source. He nodded, saying âNo other power required.â The conversation swung to the need to remain independent; independent of state and industry controlled sources of power. Because being dependent upon centralised power, be it energetic or political, means always owing something to someone or something; whereas to be free of such a burden enables one to form strategic relations where one pleases. This form of sharing creates a natural form of interdependence with fellow humans, rather than dependence on governments and corporations. He nodded again. Jobs
British taxpayers give away ÂŁ30million in benefits to other countries each year
Most of the cash is being paid to relatives of migrant workers, with almost two-thirds going to Poland. Brussels laws mean ministers are powerless to stop the payments which triggered fresh fury about foreigners milking the benefit system. The figures were released by the Treasury in response to MPsâ questions just days after the UK Independence Party won European elections following concern about migration.
Andy Silvester, campaign director of the TaxPayersâ Alliance pressure group, said: âThe Government has to step in. The idea that UK taxpayers should be paying to raise children in foreign countries is ludicrous.â The figures showed that last year Child Benefit funded by British taxpayers went to 20,400 families with a total of 34,268 children living overseas. The Alarming Truth About Supermarket Meat
The meat you get at the supermarket bears little resemblance to the meat our ancestors ate. And this has profound health implications that most people donât realize.
Throughout most of human history, if you wanted meat for dinner, some of your tribesmen had to go hunting. Eventually humans figured out how to domesticate animals. Then, if you wanted meat for dinner, you had easy access to a cow, sheep, or goat that had spent its life grazing on wild grasses and other natural food sources.
You can see from this timeline that it wasnât terribly long ago that we stopped relying totally on hunting. For example, it was only 8,000 years ago that we domesticated the cow. Our ancestors could then have organic, grass-fed beef for dinner anytime they wanted! Continue reading ...
Scientist proves âDeath is an illusionâ Reincarnation and Afterlife exists!
Professor Robert Lanza from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina, claims the theory of biocentrism teaches that death as we know it is an illusion created by our consciousness.
His theory of biocentrism, explains that death may not be as terminal as we think it is. Biocentrism is classed as the theory of everything and comes from the Greek for âlife centreâ. It is the believe that life and biology are central to reality and that life creates the universe, not the other way round.
This suggests a personâs consciousness determines the shape and size of objects in the universe.
Lanza uses the example of the way we perceive the world around us. A person sees a blue sky, and is told that the color they are seeing is blue, but the cells in a personâs brain could be changed to make the sky look green or red.
By looking at the universe from a biocentricâs point of view, this also means space and time donât behave in the hard and fast ways our consciousness tell us it does ... Continue reading Menu of the weird

The Slow, Sure Death of âClimate Changeâ Lies

A Matter of F.A.C.T. â Witch Hunts Old And New?
The phrase âwitch huntâ is so widely used that is to my mind something of an irony that the actual origin of the phrase is somewhat forgotten, or where any thought is given to it is in the context of the well known and very funny parody in the Monty Pythonâs Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
However, the phenomenon was real, and quite appalling. While early trials fall still within the Late Medieval period, the peak of the witch hunt was during the period of the European wars of religion, peaking between about 1580 and 1630. Philo and Sophia
Increased number of civilian victims in Fallujah attacks
Previous week, the Iraqi army started a major offensive against armed groups in Fallujah, where there has been violent conflict since December 2013. Over the past few months, around 300 civilians have lost their lives in the fighting between the army and the various armed militia and terrorist organisations. Peace organisation PAX is extremely concerned.
PAX has called upon the Dutch government to work within a European framework on a structural solution in the form of a national dialogue and reconciliation process, in follow-up to a resolution from the European Parliament in February 2014. In this context, the European Union would have to press the Iraqi government to refrain from the use of explosive weapons in densely populated areas.
According to PAX, the supply of weapons by the United States, to a regime that deploys them in a indiscriminate manner, with many civilian casualties as the result, is also contrary to international arms trading agreements. These are set out in arms export agreements such as the Arms Trade Treaty, which has also been signed by the US. There is currently a European weapons embargo against Iraq. War War In Central Africa

The basis of mass mind control
Mass mind control focuses on two elements: image and feeling. By linking the two primary elements, it is possible to short-circuit thought and âcut to the chase,â when it comes to enlisting the allegiance of huge populations. The idea of a scientific dictatorship and the use of pseudosciences such as psychology and public relations to influence the way entire populations think is not new of course. Only recently however have digital technologies made easy the levels of information control needed to totally regulate the thoughts of masses of people. George Orwell foresaw it in his novel 1984, written in 1948 but the internet was decades away then. Humanitas
Golden Rice fairy tale nothing more than biotech industry GMO propaganda

Rude awakening for Croatia nine months after EU accession
Nine months after joining the European Union, the mood in Croatia is one of crisis. The already low expectations of EU membership have so far not been met. Meanwhile, the political right is playing its own game. In terms of how it influenced daily life in Croatia, the country's EU accession on July 1 last year was not such a big step. Even before it became the 28th member state, citizens enjoyed the right to travel freely and the euro, alongside the stable Croatian kuna, has been an accepted means of payment for years.
EU accession was, however, full of significance. It aligned Croatia with its neighbor Slovenia, seen as the most advanced republic of the former Yugoslavia, and simultaneously marked a victory over Serbia, against which Croatia waged a war in the early 1990s. In the minds of many Croats, joining the bloc confirmed that their war was a just one and that they belonged to the "civilized West," a view long held by the late Croatian President Franjo Tudjman. more Europe

And companies now have to sign documents to the effect that no contracts or laws oblige them â nor can they be coerced â to pass on confidential data to foreign secret services or security authorities. The new rule would seem to be aimed primarily at American companies.

Britain has tried to block release of US 'torture files'
Britain has tried to block the release of US âtorture filesâ that could prove how the Blair Government was complicit in the capture and ill-treatment of dozens of terror suspects, it was claimed last night.
US Senators are within weeks of publishing a top-secret report on Americaâs torture and rendition programme carried out in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. The 6,300 files will expose the horror of the CIAâs waterboarding and other tortures and could also reveal the extent of British co-operation in the programme.â Politics

Transhumanism: MK Ultra to Google
âDespite Googleâs dictum of âDonât Be Evil,â the company has suspiciously aligned itself with the grand ambitions of American imperialism, with its executive chairman Eric Schmidt attending the infamous Bilderberg conference in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2013. Schmidt also has a listed membership with the Trilateral Commission.
Far more disturbing, however, is Google participation in what appears to be a totalitarian ambition to create a New World Order under a superconscious computer likened to God. While it may sound like science fiction, Google execs have been advancing the cause of âtechnological singularity,â and the advent of superhuman intelligence, known as âtranshumanism.ââ Continue reading:

GMO producers should be punished as terrorists, Russian MPs say
A draft law submitted to the Russian parliament seeks to impose punishment up to criminal prosecution to producers of genetically-modified organisms harmful to health or the environment. The draft legislation submitted on Wednesday amends Russiaâs law regulating GMOs and some other laws and provides for disciplinary action against individuals and firms, which produce or distribute harmful biotech products and government officials who fail to properly control them.
At worst, a criminal case may be launched against a company involved in introducing unsafe GMOs into Russia.

The NSA has been covertly implanting interception tools in US servers heading overseas
For years, the US government loudly warned the world that Chinese routers and other internet devices pose a "threat" because they are built with backdoor surveillance functionality that gives the Chinese government the ability to spy on anyone using them. Yet what the NSA's documents show is that Americans have been engaged in precisely the activity that the US accused the Chinese of doing.
The drumbeat of American accusations against Chinese internet device manufacturers was unrelenting. In 2012, for example, a report from the House Intelligence Committee, headed by Mike Rogers, claimed that Huawei and ZTE, the top two Chinese telecommunications equipment companies, "may be violating United States laws" and have "not followed United States legal obligations or international standards of business behaviour". Humans are very manipulable by search engine result 'adjustment', research proves
Google long ago went from being a mere directory of the Internet to a shaper of online reality, helping determine what we see and how. But what power does Google have over the ârealâ world â and especially the volatile one of closely contested elections?
With a group of more than 1,800 study participants â all undecided voters -- the research team was able to shift votes by an average of 12.5 percent to favored candidates by deliberating altering their rankings in search results, Epstein said. There were also increases in the likelihood of voting and in measurements of trust for the preferred candidates, and there were decreases in the willingness to support rivals. Fewer than 1 of every 100 participants, meanwhile, detected the manipulation in the results. Science and technology

Monsanto, Syngenta and Bayer CropScience: The GMO Biotech Sector canât win the Scientific Debate So they Resort To Bullying

Barack Obama and the Monsanto betrayal by Jon Rappoport

How the Rich Stole Our Money â And Made Us Think They were Doing Us a Favor
Touâve doubtless seen the charts and figures showing the decline of the middle income groups in concert with the explosion of wealth for the super-rich. Wages have stagnated over the last 40 years even as productivity has increased, which is another way of saying that Americans are working harder but getting paid less. Unemployment remains stubbornly high even though corporate profits and the stock market are at or near record highs. Passive assets in the form of stocks and real estate, in other words, are doing very well. Wages for working people are not. Unfortunately for the middle class, however, the top 1 percent of incomes own almost 50 percent of asset wealth, and the top 10 percent own over 85 percent of it. Research teams around the world have since used this technique to study brain cells, heart cells, stem cells and others regulated by electrical signals. However, light-sensitive proteins were efficient at switching cells on but proved less effective at turning them off.
